Playgrounds to Remain Closed for Now

The Children's Playground and Adventure Playground remain closed while the council considers guidance issued by the government issued on the 26th June to assess the risks involved in safely re-opening the facility. Protecting Wildlife in Our Gardens

As people are confining themselves to their homes and gardens, catching up on DIY jobs , mowing the lawn and trimming the hedges it brings me to the important issue of hedge cutting. During the months of March through to July our birds are nesting and as a lot of us know our bird population is declining very quickly. The RSPB and other ornithologists ask gardeners to refrain from cutting their hedges to prevent brooding birds abandoning their nests.
