New Yatt Riding for the Disabled
CORONA VIRUS UPDATE - 25TH MARCH 2020 SESSIONS & VOLUNTEER RERCRUITMENT CURRENTLY SUSPENDED
New Yatt Riding for the Disabled Group is proud to provide therapy through horses to local disabled riders from a purpose built equestrian centre in Wilcote Road, North Leigh. In 2019 we gave over 1000 riders to over 100 children, teenagers and adults.
With no paid staff, our volunteer Coaches and Helpers are responsible for all horse care and welfare. The site is closed to all visitors and all volunteer recruitment is on hold for the time being. NYRDA Trustees, volunteers and riders appreciate your messages of support and look forward to reopening as soon as possible.
We belong to the Riding for the Disabled Association Incorporating Carriage Driving which comprises over 500 groups in the UK and are guided by their Health & Safety; Safeguarding and Therapy policies. As an independent charity we need to raise over £20000 each year to cover our operating costs, including horsecare, insurance and site upkeep.
